An online magazine about economy/management/etc. posted a new article about H&M’s new swimsuit plus size model (is this news really? what’s so strange about that, in the first place?)
The comments below gave me a headache:

“Skinny girls aren’t pretty”
“Lol she is fat and disgusting”
Stop body shaming, please! Every body is beautiful.
The one comment that pissed me the fuck off was from a guy (who judging form his profile is a yogi/runner/swimmer/cyclist etc…) who stated
“She is beautiful but she needs to take care of her body. She needs to eat right and stay active. That way she won’t feel bad, she won’t be wondering all day long what to wear in order to look good, she will be more happy. When talking about being healthy and staying active -the less you weight the better you will feel. If you don’t believe, walk around with a 10kg more weight on you all day long and tell me if I am not right”
Whoaa. I am so done with people’s prejudices.
So you tell me that every time I go outside and people like you see me, they automaticaly presume that right after I wake up I eat 10 pizzas, 80 donuts, 9 chocolate bars and drink 3 hot cocoas, then I way around all day long in my own misery, disappointment and sadness.
Well SURPRISE! SURPRISE! - I weigh 200 mother fucking pounds and I have never felt so HAPPY. HEALTHY, BEAUTIFUL, CONFIDENT, STRONG and even SEXY in my whole life.
Could you now please stop being such a prejudice mother fucking bastard!

After a few months of restrictive dieting and crashing, I don’t remember how but something finally clicked. Somehow starving, restricting, calorie counting, constant weigh-ins slowly replaced itself with healthy living.
I started to run and educate myself more on fitness and healthy eating. Instead of comparing myself to everyone else, I started to focus on me and how to get myself healthier and happier. I’m much better now. I can proudly say I lost weight the healthy way, and still plan on losing those last few pounds the healthy way.
